Dr Nicola Brewer

In South Africa, the British High Commissioner represents the British Government in its relations with the South African government. The High Commissioner’s main tasks are to present and explain British policies to the South African Government and to South Africans, and to report and explain South African policies and views to the British Government in London. The High Commissioner also works closely with the Heads of the Department for International Development (DFID) office and British Council on development and cultural policies.

The High Commissioner to South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho is Her Excellency Dr Nicola Brewer.
