Form C1

You should use this form if you are over the age of 16 and applying for a British passport as:  

• A first time applicant;
• An applicant renewing their British passport;
• An applicant who has had a name change – (e.g by marriage or deed poll) 

And applying as a: 

• British Citizen, or;
• British Dependent Territories Citizen, or;
• British Overseas Citizen, or;
• British Subject and British Protected Person. 

You should not use this form if you are: 

• a British National (Overseas) having a close connection with Hong Kong - use form BNO-A instead, OR;
• Under the age of 16 on the day of application.

Form C2: You should use this form if you are under the age of 16 and applying for a British passport as:  

• A first time applicant;
• An applicant renewing their British passport;
• An applicant who has had a name change – (e.g by adoption or deed poll) 

And applying as a: 

• British Citizen, or;
• British Dependent Territories Citizen, or;
• British Overseas Citizen, or;
• British Subject and British Protected Person. 

You should not use this form if you are: 

• a British National (Overseas) under the age of 16 having a close connection with Hong Kong - use form BNO-B instead, OR;
• Over the age of 16 on the day of application.
